The Squid utilizes different end effectors such as vacuum cups, closed cell foam, orifice fittings and self closing valves. The choice of Squid is dependent on the application and user preference. The Barracuda has been designed to handle products such as bags and sacks where traditional vacuum cups are unable to seal. The Barracuda utilizes a single foam seal around the perimeter to seal against the bag surface. A unique internal grid prevents the bag from blocking the vacuum port which is a typical problem with this type of bag gripper.
The Barracuda can be connected to either a vacuum venturi or regenerative blower or vacuum pump. Ideal for manual lifting equipment and automated end of arm tooling applications.The standard Barracuda measures 120mm x 240mm in and has a maximum handling capacity of 330lbs at 80% vacuum.
