METAL IMPREGNATED SILICONE (Vacuforce code SMI & STMI) has the same basic characteristics as the standard silicone but the metal impregnated compound has been design specifically for the food industry.
Iron filings inside the actual silicone compound allow metal detectors to sense that a vacuum cup has fallen into the food packaging that contains food stuffs like bread loaves, rolls, and buns or confectionery foodstuffs.
Vacuum cup level compensators allow the machine builder to approach the load to be lifted without the need for exact distance in the Z axis.
Various models are available including ones with a non-rotating action for use in a single holder application where the part being moved must remain in the same orientation during the lift cycle.
